Synopsis:
Although somewhat formulaic, these books still have the power to keep the reader turning the pages. This one is set in Elizabethan England and tells the story of a young woman, Linnet Pennlyon, who is on the brink of becoming betrothed to one man, only to find herself forced to marry another, the rakish Colum Casvellyn, when circumstances intervene to change her fate. Her passionate relationship with her husband changes over time, when Linnet discovers some secrets about her husband that she would have been better off not knowing.
